Some common slab leak repair methods include:

• Repiping or Pipe Rerouting: If the slab leak is a result of aging or deteriorating pipes, a complete repiping of the affected plumbing system may be necessary. This method involves bypassing or replacing the entire pipe network, either beneath the slab or performing a pipe reroute by redirecting the pipe through walls and ceilings. Repiping can be more expensive and time-consuming but provides a long-term solution for recurrent leaks or severely damaged pipes.

• Spot Repair: This method involves removing the concrete slab above the leaking pipe, repairing the damaged section, and then restoring the slab. Spot repair is typically used when the leak is easily accessible, and the rest of the plumbing system is in good condition. It can be the most cost-effective option for isolated leaks.

• Pipe Lining: In this trenchless method, a flexible, resin-coated liner is inserted into the damaged pipe and inflated, allowing the resin to cure and form a new pipe within the existing one. Pipe relining can seal leaks, prevent corrosion, and improve the pipe’s structural integrity without extensive excavation. However, it may not be suitable for all situations, such as if the pipe is severely damaged or collapsed.
